On the 10th of December WeekendBase took part in a Christmas coffee morning for charity. Apart from the general collection there was a craft table with many different hand crafted items on sale. Tilda bunnies, cats, crochet snowflakes, elephants, jewellery, door stoppers, aprons, scarves and many many more.
15% of the craft sales was donated to the charity institution chosen to benefit this year – Capuchin Day Centre for Homeless People. Good sale rate is very encouraging. It shows that people are willing to help those who happen to be less lucky in their lives and that there is a real need for handmade products. It was a success!
Anna, everything you had for sale at the craft table was wonderful. It was difficult to chose what to buy as I wanted all of it! Having admired your decorations on the Christmas tree in the library for two years now it is so nice to have some crochet snowflakes and handmade baubles of my own for our tree. I hung them up the minute I got home and Eadaoin and I both love them! Thanks for all your work and for sharing your beautiful crafts with us :)
